Pike Place Market Photoshoot Locations

Pike Place Market in Seattle is one of the oldest continuously operated public farmers’ markets in the United States. It is also an amazing place for photoshoots! Read on for the best Pike Place Market photoshoot locations.

#1 – The main Public Market Center sign

If you’ve seen photos of Pike Place Market, you’ve probably seen the Public Market Center sign in most of them. There are two ways to capture this iconic sign – from the main turn around area, and then down the alley just to the south towards Ghost Alley Espresso.

#2 – Fruit and flower stands

Pike Place Market is famous for their fresh flowers and produce. The neon signs and lights also make for great bokeh!

#3 – Public Market sign

Did you know, there are two signs at the market? This lesser known one is just a block over on Pine Street.

#4 – The MarketFront Expansion

This relatively new expansion of Pike Place Market offers breathtaking views of Mt. Rainier, Elliot Bay, the Great Wheel, and the Cascade Mountains. This is one of my favorite Pike Place Market photoshoot locations.

#5 – Western Avenue Flower Mural

This hidden gem is not so hidden anymore – located on Western Ave down some steps is this amazing pink floral mural. This mural was created by Carolina Silva in collaboration with Urban ArtWorks, Space.City and Seattle Design Festival.

#6 – Rachel the Pig

Rachel the Pig is an icon in the market, located right in front of the throwing fish and Rachel’s Ginger Beer is named after her.

#7 – Post Alley

Post Alley runs all the way through Pike Place Market and has multiple Instagrammable marquees!

#8 – The Gum Wall

You may or may not have heard of the Gum Wall, but it’s exactly what it sounds like – layers of gum people have put on the walls of Post Alley. If you forget to bring your own gum to add, there are new stands that sell gum throughout the market!

#9 – Pike Street and 1st

The view west down Pike Street offers a unique shot of the Public Market Center sign, plus in the spring it’s lined with pink cherry blossoms.

#12 – Pike Place Flowers

In addition to the flower stalls inside the market, just near the main market sign on the corner is Pike Place Flowers. Also great for picking up a bouquet and shooting!

Right past the Gum Wall and in front of Ghost Alley Espresso is the poster wall, covered in layers and years of posters for local events and organizations.
