Bust out those cowboy boots and bandanas, because Western Wear is being seen at festivals across the country. Maybe we have Old Town Road to blame for the resurgence of western themed outfits? (Not complaining, Lil Nas X!) I’m sure we will see lots of Wrangler at CHBP this summer.
The skinny sunglasses trend took over the fashion scene in 2018, but they’re officially out just in time for festival season. Opt instead for oversized, vintage inspired sunglasses to maximize UV protection and compliment your festival look! I love how Megan color coordinated her oversized, rose-colored glasses with her pink bandana.
Keep yourself protected from the sun AND extremely stylish with a statement hat. Fedoras, cowboy, bucket, and captain hats are perfect for summer time festival-going.
Denim shorts are a summer staple in most closets, and is a great way to finish off a last minute festival outfit!

Rep your favorite band at the festival with a graphic tee! This vintage inspired acid wash The Rolling Stones tee is making its rounds in festival OOTDs, but you can also rock graphic tees of the bands you’re seeing! Pair it with your favorite pair of denim for an effortless but on-trend look. Personally, I’m going to wear my Phantogram graphic tee I distressed myself on the first day of CHBP to rep my favorite Brooklyn band.
Metallics are a hot trend from festivals, from lamé bike shorts to patent leather jackets. For a more subtle pop of metallic, Megan combined comfort and trend with a pair of silver metallic Birkenstocks.
Clear bags are not only trendy, but makes going through festival security a breeze! You can also show off the accessories you’re toting even when you’re not wearing them. Pro festival tip is the keep your small and valuable items in a zipper pouch within the clear bag.

Festival season is the best time to bring out those vintage finds from thrift and consignment stores. With the 70’s and 90’s trending, flirty and effortless summer dresses are perfect for festival going. Add on over-sized vintage inspired sunglasses and a scrunchie for an adorable summer festival look.
Pattern mixing and maximalism has been trending at every fashion week this year. You can apply this textile trend to your festival outfits, like Megan’s mixture of floral and animal print!
Just like clear bags, woven, mesh, and macramé bags make going through festival security super easy. They’re also super lightweight and won’t get you down when you’re dancing!
