Here are three DUMBO Brooklyn photoshoot tips for capturing the most breathtaking travel photos when visiting New York City! Bookmark and pin this blog posts for future reference.
Fun fact: DUMBO stands for “down under the Manhattan Bridge overpass”!
Tip #1 – Know where and when to go
The iconic DUMBO Brooklyn photoshoot shot of the Manhattan Bridge framed by buildings can be found at Washington and Water Street. Go early to avoid the most people – usually weekdays are the best times to go but can be just as busy as the weekends during peak tourist seasons.
Tip #2 – Explore the waterfront
Once you’ve shot the main DUMBO viewpoint, wander down to the waterfront. Here you will find sweeping views of lower Manhattan, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Manhattan Bridge, as well as Jane’s Carousel and the Empire Stores building.
Tip #3 – Find the murals
All around the DUMBO neighborhood you can find murals and art installations that make for amazing photoshoot backdrops. My favorite DUMBO mural is the technicolor wall on York Street and Fleet Alley.
