Content Creation Tool #1 – Canon G7X Mark II

This point and shoot camera is a vlogger favorite. Wanting a camera for video content somewhere between my iPhone and my DSLR, I started looking into the Canon G7X Mark II. The raving reviews and plenty of recommendations from content creator friends convinced me this was the video camera for me. The camera has a flip up screen that makes it easy to take videos in “selfie mode,” and has surprisingly powerful manual controls. I’ve also found myself using it for photography on the go, and since it doesn’t have a detachable lens system this camera would be perfect to take into festivals.

Content Creation Tool #2 – ZekPro USB Computer Microphone

I’ve recently gotten into creating video tutorials which require recording voice over. After struggling with using my headphones microphone and battling background noise, I finally decided to invest in a microphone. The ZekPro USB Computer Microphone came highly recommended for the price in my Amazon search. It’s a simple plug and go piece of equipment, and you can also purchase additional adapters to use it with your phone. This microphone would be perfect if you create videos, have a podcast, or even want better audio quality for Instagram stories.

Content Creation Tool #3 – Softbox Photography Lighting Kit

I’ve used two variations of this softbox lighting kit for almost 4 years! It’s super simple to set up, and powerful for the size and price. I’ve used these for countless photo and video shoots, and they instantly improve and perfect the lighting situation. These are great for product/flat lay photography, YouTube videos, and at home photoshoots.

Content Creation Tool #4 – Ring Light with Tripod

A more streamlined lighting solution is the classic ring light. This content creation tool is best used for beauty content and livestreams, but can be used as a general light source in a pinch. I received the recommendation for this particular ring light from beauty content creator Austen Tosone!

This content creation tool is my absolute holy grail. I first discovered it through travel content creator Giulia Dugo and it has completely changed how I create content. This SD card reader uploads photos straight to your phone or tablet, allowing you to edit on the go. I use this card reader in tandem with my iPad when on content trips to streamline my workflow and post content ASAP.
